Generally one appointment is sufficient enough for a soft and natural freckle result. If an additional appointment is required, it is recommended to be held within 6-8 weeks of your initial appointment. At this time, clients may take the opportunity to add more freckles during their session.

​If you decide that you are satisfied with the results of your freckles with just one session, then over time they will soften to a lighter tone.
Pigments are stable, and will not discolour to grey or pink. Touch ups to refresh the colour are usually booked yearly, however entirely individual choice.

✿ Lovers of the good stuff ✿
Certain skincare products can contribute to softening or fading of freckles, however this occurs slowly over time and does not impact the freckles immediately. If you are considering having your freckles tattooed, avoid the use of AHA’s & BHA’s on the desired freckle tattoo area for two weeks prior to your appointment and four weeks after the appointment. This includes : retinol, lactic acid, glycolic acid, hyaluronic acid, salicylic acid, vitamin c, peptides. Chemical peels, intense facials, laser rejuvenation, microneedling must hold 6 week gap between these applications and your appointment. This is crucial, as they affect skin sensitivity and directly affect the process of tattooing and the healed result.

For longevity we recommend SPF throughout the seasons, and yearly touch ups to keep them fresh. 

✿ Healing Process ✿
The initial healing phase lasts 7-10 days, followed by 28 days for the final colour to settle. It’s normal to feel underwhelmed initially, as we adopt a conservative approach to ensure a soft, natural look.
